Arrive in Leh and check into the homestay. This day will be used as acclimatization day. Ladakh is a thin air zone and our bodies need to get used to it.
We will be covering a distance of about 60 Kms to reach Likir. Likir will be our starting point of the trek. We will be crossing two passes (Phobe La at an altitude of 3580 Mtrs and Chagatse La at an altitude of 3710 Mtrs) on our way today.
We reach Yangthang from Likir and will retire for the day here.
Surrounded by multiple streams, Hemis Shukpachan is an extrmeley beautiful village. Through the Tsermangchan Pass, we descend to Hemis Shukpachan after crossing a small stream. Although, we will be crossing a pass today, it is overall an easy trek with gradual ascends and descends.
We will take a break at the pass and click some photos and continue to follow the trail into the Hemis Shukpachan.
The trail today is also a fairly easy one. We will be reaching our final destination Temisgam through the Mebtak ass. The ascend to the top of the Mebtak pass is a steep one. We will descend down to a gorge making our way to Ang. From Ang, we will reach the highway at Temisgam.
Our vehicles will be waiting here. We will board the vehicles here and head back to Leh.
