Cellular Jail is one of the most historically significant monuments in the Andaman Islands, as it used to be the place where Britisher officers used to send prisoners for exile, during the period of their rule.

Havelock Island

Havelock Island (new official name: Swaraj Dweep), the most popular island among tourists, is located about 70 km north of the capital city, Port Blair. Havelock Island is a paradise of silky white sand beaches, crystal blue water, rich corals and verdant forests. Havelock Island is also a favourite amongst those who want to engage in scuba diving, snorkelling, and deep-sea diving. 

Neil Island

Neil Island is best suited for those who want to spend a relaxed time among long deserted beaches. With little bustle, few activities to take up, and few resorts, this island is best for those who want to explore the island’s villages. Moreover, the island has non-existent internet connectivity and patchy cellular network which usually cuts off your outside communication and helps you detox yourself from the digital world and into the lap of nature, breathing fresh air.

Ross Island

Also known as the Little Neil Island, Rose Island is one of the most gorgeous and uninhabited islands of the Andaman Islands. Located at a distance of 40 kms from Port Blair. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, a part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. 

Baratang Island

Baratang Island, also known as Ranchiwalas Island, is a beautiful little island in the North and Middle Andaman Administrative district and is situated about 100 kilometres away from the capital city of Port Blair by road. Baratang is famous for its natural wonders; from impressive Limestone Caves and dense mangrove creeks. this tiny paradise is the most ideal place for you to relax and rejuvenate while also letting your adventurous spirit go free.

Radhanagar Beach

No doubt, Radhanagar Beach is the most popular beach in the Andaman Islands which is crowned as “Asia’s Best Beach”. Not only Asia’s best beach but also crowned as “7th best beach in the world” by Time Magazine. This beach witnesses a lot of tourists every year from all across the globe. The beach is a dazzling curve of white sand with completely blue colored waters, all coated by lush forest and palm trees. It is easy to enjoy this sparkling and splendid beach lying down and witnessing the spectacular sunset, or go in for a swim.

  Elephant Beach

If you planning to visit Havelock Island in Andaman then don’t forget to visit Elephant Beach. This beach is 20 minutes approximately by ferry from the dock of Havelock Island. It is an ideal destination for adventure water sports and other leisure activities. 

Best Time to Visit Andaman

The best time to visit Andaman and Nicobar Islands is from late October to mid-April. December to March is the popular tortoise nesting season.Be warned, the Christmas and New Year season are very popular with tourists, so plan accordingly. May – October : The Andaman witness heavy rain

By Ship: If you want to experience the life at the seas then you can reach Port Blair by ships that are available from Kolkata, Chennai and Vishakapatnam. It usually takes 4 days to reach Port Blair.
